June 2014

Building things for Cam - or to contain him.

Somehow dot markers on the stairs... hmm...

Stomp Rocket up at the playground.

Put in a short variety of Russian Sage, added more Daylillies, etc.

My cherry tree!

Cleaned up the garden. Learned (the hard way) that blackberries flower on 2nd year wood. Whoops! Only a dozen berries this year.

The finished curbing with 'Little Lime' Hydrangeas.

Lydia playing with the boys.

When the garbage disposal broke,. Landon took his opportunity and put in a new sink! Just like the one in NYC, it's so nice not to have the sink divided.

More things that the kids build for Cam.

Brit and his good friend, Danny Brinton.

Britton's Classroom with Mrs. Skolnick.

This is where he sat.  By Zach.

Scooter rides over a big new bridge.

Rochester, Rochester.... Geese blocking traffic down by silver lake.

Marin and Sophie came for a couple days.

They collected lots of feathers from the geese!

Met up at Lake Harriet - Father's Day

Brit's rockin' academics... thinking seriously about homeschooling because I feel like I do a better job than school does. I hate to have his potential wasted/ slowed because of having to stay in a group.

The kids loved a place in New York called "Make Meaning". I took them to "Color Me Mine" which is new in Rochester. Tyler painted a hamburger bank. (Which sadly met its demise a few months later when Cam carried it into the bathroom and dropped it - shattering it.  Ty was really sad, and Britton wanted to make him happy, so he gave him his yellow piggy bank from NYC).

Brit's coloring a robot bank.

I finally tubed down a river! The water was fast! In Lanesboro, MN.

Ice cream afterwards.

Coloring pillowcases.

Family ride on the Douglas Trail. There had been flash flooding the night or so before, so we're muddy.

Finding little frogs down by the school/ douglas trail.

One of the last times hanging out with Danny Brinton.

"Camp Invention"

Kellogg Toys

Carousel ride at Kellogg Toys

Brit's joint creation at Camp Invention.

Reading Suzuki Violin book...

"Breakfast on the Farm"

It was stinky.

Toilet leaks... repair man back to the rescue!
