We've been needing to replace the dishwasher ever since we moved in. For months, the kids wouldn't accept certain cups or bowls because they weren't clean enough. Well, we decided to trade - Landon switched the brand new dishwasher from downstairs upstairs, since we've never used it in a year! It's so quiet!
I took the kids on a picnic near the library. The little kids played on the playground for a few minutes, and then we walked along Broadway. I bought two Halloween pillow covers, we bought some books from the used bookstore, and got Crumbl cookies.Carson is CRUISING on his balance bike. In fact, I bought Lexi her own because she never gets a chance on it since Carson is always using it. He's been joining me most days of the week for a morning walk (he bikes). He'll be ready for a pedal bike new summer. He's probably ready now. I'm trying to give Lexi more time to learn first.
Spanish Fork had it's "Fiesta Days" and we went to the carnival. The Ferris wheel was scary and calming at the same time- weird! The kids really enjoyed it. Ty wanted me to join him on a certain ride: The Swizzler. Oh wow. It was a blast at first, but all the rides were 2-3x as long as I'd like. I was so dizzy afterwards. I couldn't go again and had to sit down for a good while afterwards.
Took the kids to Lowe's Air Xtreme again this week. They love it and request it.
We had a downpour! Finally. It's been weeks! But we realized this downspout doesn't work.
I've done about 15 hours of DuoLingo over the past three weeks. Sometimes I screen shot when I'm frustrated because I'm one letter off. They're right to count it wrong, but it's frustrating to get so much right and have it counted as incorrect.
Lexi did makeovers on us.
Carson a 'Mom and Me' swim class this week. He had no fear. He'd jump off the edge for me to catch him. He went down the slide multiple times. He'd come up from under the water with a finger held up, saying, "One more!". He didn't get the 'close your mouth, blow bubbles' idea. He'd just go under with a smile and water would get in his mouth. After swim class, we'd go to the lady's playground (Debbie Wilkinson - she has a private pool and a playground nearby that she lets people use from lessons). Carson loved the trucks there. I enrolled him because I'm nervous with the neighbors having a pool. However, Landon pointed out that the class probably had the opposite affect for him. He doesn't seem to have any fear about pools! So, I guess that didn't solve that problem for me, but I did learn some great things at class to help him with.
A screen shot from the video I took on date night. Landon ran into the gas station for snacks. He got drenched. He said it was like a bucket of water being poured on him. This week, we watched Belle, Jane Eyre, The Young Victoria, and The Tomorrow War. I didn't realize we went out four times this week. We laughed yesterday, though, because the kids were practically trying to shoo us out the door for date night. They love the free screen time they get. Even Carson told me good bye and 'date night'. He doesn't ever want me to leave, so we thought that was interesting!
Morning bike rides. He often finds a roly-poly and wants me to carry it home. They're not my favorite. Carson also wants to bike 'more' and 'no go home'. He'll also be begging for me to 'hold me' and his bike if I go too long.
After last Saturday's movie night of Lego Movie 2, Cam had to look up the cost for the Lego Spaceship. Unfortunately, it was $80. So he made his own - without looking at anything. He's amazing.
'Rock star' look from Lexi.
