I was so excited to get this digging toy from Amazon. He makes his own sound effects and uses it every day! He even has his own hard hat :-)

I got to go to 4 mornings of education week. I went to 11 classes total. These were just good quotes that were in a hallway.
It was so fun to be on campus and see Melissa and Marin from time to time. There were so many classes offered every hour it was hard to choose! I went to one about waking early, personal communication, weekly planning, addiction, how to change habits, making your home holy, and more. The man picture above, Bro Gerry, was recommended to me. When I heard about him, I saw he was talking about addiction that day, so I really didn't think much about it. But, I'm 99% certain I saw Sis. Uchtdorf walk into his class (she had on a facemask, but I had seen her the previous day at President Uchtdorf's devotional), so I figured I wanted to see how the teacher was. It was a really good class (his son suffered with addiction for 12 years) and I came back the next day for a class on changing habits. Many of the teachers have their own book(s), so now that I'm home, if I want education week to continue, I guess I can get some books!
Here's a shot of President Uchtdorf at his devotional at the Marriot Center. Marin scored us 3rd row seats!

My garden is thriving. In fact, it's taking over
On Saturday, we took a hike. We tried to get to Buffalo Peak, but as we drove through Provo Canyon and onto Squaw Peak road, the kids in the back were getting motion sickness. So we just stopped at a random bend in the road where we saw a trail and explored that for a while. It was perfect weather for a hike!
I took Brit to the temple for baptisms on Friday morning. This was his second time, I believe, back to the temple since it reopened.
One of the highlights of Carson's birthday was going through the car wash TWICE! We actually got a monthly pass (which I'll cancel soon) so that we can go through a few more times. He frequently asks about the "car yash" and I kept telling him that we'd go for his birthday.

Car YASH!! funny Carson. Is Ty scared in the carwash? JK!!
ReplyDeleteHandsome Brit--what a wonderful mom you are, Jen, taking him to the temple!!
