August 21, 2022

Meet Lucky! We got to take her home on August 16th, but she was born September 12th.

We were all in heaven! On the way home, Ty was crying happy tears.  It felt so surreal to take her home. I've been dreaming of this day for years! I partly thought the kids would react with allergies and I'd have to return her.  Luckily, we didn't! That's why 'Lucky' was my main reason for calling her that.  Also, in some countries, like Japan, calicos are considered 'good luck'.  The first few days, she mainly hid beneath our bed and meowed for her family. That was sad to hear.  But about 48 hours later, she seemed adjusted.

Carson started preschool at "Little Readers Academy" across from the rodeo stadium on Main Street.  His teacher is Ms. McKenna (the kids call her Ms. Kenna).

We set up the basement for Ms. Rebecca to teach language arts to the kids.  She comes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8-11 am.  She works part time as a librarian the rest of the work day at a Spanish Fork elementary school.

Cam's kiwi crate robot.

Carson turned 4! We were so excited for his birthday.  And honestly, with the little shenanigans that he gets himself into, proud that he's made it to 4 years old!! :-)  He got to pick out one toy on his own, and he picked this Melissa and Doug blender toy.  He loves play kitchens, so we also got one of those.

I went to two mornings of Education Week.  My favorite lecture was from Marie Ricks. She talked about deciding what to have for dinner and made it so simple and doable.
