Summer 2018 Updates

A few weeks ago, I was emailed from Blogger asking if I still wanted to moderate comments.  I was ecstatic to realize I could still access my old blog from 2006-2011.  I printed it off and it came last week.  Britton read through the whole thing.  I realized how wonderful it is to have a blog and have them printed for the kids to read.  I also forget 99% of things, so it's been fun to remember.  Blogs take a lot of time but as I've seen the kids enjoy them, I'm beginning to realize how valuable they are. They're reignited my desire to blog.  So I went through my camera and will do a quick back track.

Since I'm the cub master, I've been attending cub scouts.  Here was a field trip to McNeilus trucking.  It's fun to have Ty join us now that he's old enough.  It's perfect timing to be the cub master and have two of my kids in the program.

Mom and Dad met us several times when I had doctor appointments in the cities at OB GYN West.  We hadn't had great experiences delivering babies at Mayo Clinic (2 of the 3 went to the NICU and they're actually not rated well in OB).  So I traveled to the Twin Cities to a doctor there.  My appointments were really quick (thanks to private practice!) but it was inconvenient at times to get there and arrange babysitting.  It was nice of Mom and Dad to help (Melissa did a few times as well). Here we are in a mall.  Dad rented a stroller that the kids had a great time with.  We ate at Cheesecake Factory afterwards.

There was a time when Mom and Dad took Brit and Ty home for a few days, so I swung by Como Zoo with Cam and Lexi (and my pregnant self).  Lots of construction was happening and we didn't see many animals, but the kids still enjoyed it - not knowing better.  I thought this picture of Cam was so cute.

Poppa had given Cam and Lexi $5 each and this is what they got from the zoo store.  They loved it!

Cam is WAAAAYY into Legos.  He's amazing at building things of his own creation.  They're symmetrical and awesome.  I'll think to myself during the day, "Where's Cam?" and find he's just building Legos in his room.  He's earned a lot of money to earn Lego sets.  We've done a lot of school this way! He's in 1st grade math and language arts!

Lexi has been writing on walls... and herself.  It's tough to keep up when older kids need pencils for school.

She's adorable blowing bubbles :-)

I love summer days when the kids play outside.  They love it.

Landon took the boys rollerblading to Culvers and Kwik Trip several times.  It's a little less than 2 miles one way.
