Summer 2018 Updates part 2

We LOVE this wooden park in Zumbrota (about 25 minutes from our home).

Popcorn and smoothies are common snacks at our house:

I like when our crab apple tree is blooming.  It looks like cotton candy and it's fuller.  I actually took this photo thinking it may help sell the house when we list it.

I took the kids walking around downtown.  I realized that I hadn't really done that before which is surprising since we've been here 10+ years.  I think we had gone downtown to catch Pokemon on my phone and it was a nice day out.  But here's a classic picture from Rochester, Minnesota:

Just enjoying playing outside.  Here's Lydia Hak, our neighbor, and Britton.

This picture was taken early June.

Yay! Chesterwoods Beach is one of our favorites.  It opens after Labor Day.  Here we are with the Andersons and Schilatys.  I managed to go to the beach 3 or 4 times before having Carson.

This funny picture was texted from Jessi Olsen, our babysitter, during a date night.  They had forgotten the pizza in the oven while they had gone outside to play.  Brit ended up making waffles.

We met Bradys at Minnehaha Falls.  Then we walked down a little trail to find this area to dip our feet.  I had never been there before but Bradys had.  It was a fun find.

This is at a park nearby.

We caught the rail and went towards the stadium.  I'm not a big sports fan so I don't even remember what it's called! Ha ha!

Cam and Lexi in the tub trying to be Santa saying, "Ho ho ho!"

Playdates with Averie and Brooks Baumgartner.  They moved this summer and they homeschooled and I really love their mom, Chelsie.  Their dad, Jesson, was our home teacher and was so nice to try to learn about and play Pokemon with the boys.

Bike ride with the Andersons! Left to right: Jonah, Simon, Scott, Ty, Iris, and Brit.

My peonies!! I love them!!

We raised butterflies again.  This may have been our third year? They're always a hit.

It was Lexi's first time and she LOVED it.  She was really sad when they had to be let go.  She kept saying sadly, "My butterfly!".  We played with them a few minutes in the playhouse.  I didn't dare keep them too long because I was afraid we'd hurt one over time.  We had them probably 10-15 mins?

CMX (previously the Paragon Theater) was showing free kids movies this summer.  We saw Lego Batman with the Watsons (Ethan and Vincent) and Andersons.

A lego set Cam earned and built by himself - at four years old! He amazes me that he can follow the instructions already.

Here the kids are watching "Make 'Em Laugh" from Singing in the Rain for the first time and they were laughing so hard.

The cub scout family campout was in June.  Ty caught a butterfly a few times.

Here's a group around the campfire.

Here are some leaders.  Left to right: Jeff Vincent, Bill Fredericks, Peter Howard, Aaron Hales, Stephen Chow, and Jake Langeveld.  We didn't end up spending the night because we flew to Utah the next morning.  It's a sad/ funny story.  I had scheduled the camp out and the trip to Utah myself, but didn't calendar it right and they overlapped.  I was frustrated with myself for doing that and even debated about catching a later flight but ended up just skipping Saturday's activities after I made sure everything was covered.
